Love Football, Hate Football is a site dedicated to taking a currrent club crest and turning out a concept crest in its place. And the site is simply phenomenal. Not only are the designs solid and varied – you won’t be a fan of every single one (the transformation of RC Lens is a particular favorite, which may not be to everyone’s fancy) – but a number are then placed on an actual player image to allow for its existence in context.

If there’s a 007 for a football coach, it’s ceertainly not Jurgen Klopp. He’s too goofy and, well, he’s not a pretty boy. As far as dress sense goes, perhaps Andre Villas-Boas. The problem is football coaches are often too animated to be the supercool James Bond. Jupp Heynckes could certainly be M, which would conjure up an interesting dynamic in the final. “Bring me Goetze.” “No.”
But it doesn’t matter, because Jurgen’s in the final and someone has Photoshop. Bond he is.

You knew it was happening: there’s an animal involved in the Champions League Final. After Paul the ‘Pus caused a mild ruckus in Germany in particular, it should come as no surprise that Wembley’s civil war will feature another majestic creature. Next up for its 15 minutes is Nelly the elephant, who predicts Bayern will win. Or Borussia Dortmund. No one really knows. Because it’s a damn elephant.
Moving images after the jump.

While the big news of the day is that Chelsea is free to go after a fifty year old child manager of the utmost ability, it’s backup keeper Ross Turnbull’s son Josh who is stealing the show. After the final match there were some festivities on the pitch. Josh didn’t care. All the boy wants it to score goals. Kid’s got a future.
Obligatory joke on superior finishing to Fernando Torres here.
The Munich Philharmonic penned this little aria for their boys heading to England for the grandest match of the year on Saturday. Bounding around Google has surfaced nothing in the way of an English translation for the lyrics, but it’s worth it simply to watch someone work ‘Heynckes’ into a song.
(It is entirely possible some of this was ’sampled’. Maybe…)
During this evening’s Copa del Rey final, won by Atletico Madrid in extra time at the Bernabeu (big win, that one), Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo were both sent off. The latter was unjustified, though Cristiano probably could’ve been sent off for kicking Juanfran off the ball earlier, and there’s no way to know what Jose actually said. But he does an incredibly angry, “Who? Me?”
The Ronaldo red then sparked a small brawl, which offers us a reminder: every cup final should be a derby.
This is my first attempt at Live Bloggery, but hopefully it's slightly less challenging than rocket science for a tech-challenged person such as myself. JG is going to be doing our recap today, and hopefully Darren will stop by during the live blog as well. I think Brenton
