Is it a Dive if you are Struck by Lightning?

By: Bob | March 29th, 2007

Beware of the elements when playing football. If you aren’t swept up by a tornado or getting smacked by wind-blown signs you might be taken down in the box by a lightning strike as the video above shows. The lightning strike game evidently took place in Johannesburg. The most interesting part to me is watching a player who has just been struck by lightning being interviewed on the pitch. Don’t you think the first question should have been, “Do you need medical help?” Apparently the opposing team, which was ahead by two goals at the time, accused the lightning struck team of deliberately collapsing to have the match canceled. Fortunately no one was hurt.
