Is there a Pill that Prevents Premature Celebration?

By: Bob | December 12th, 2006

That Iran-China Asian Games tilt this past weekend might just go down as the match of the year. No, the play wasn’t as scintillating as what we saw in the Chelsea-Arsenal clash Sunday, but the game did feature its fair share of bizarre moments. We’ve already seen Iran’s Arash Bohrani being an ass and thanks to the kids at Who Ate all the Pies we get to see the Chinese keeper playing the fool in the video below. Careful readers (thanks Mom, thanks Dad) will note that the keeper is none other than Wang Dalei, a player some have described as one to watch, but who apparently is one who needs to learn how to do a little watching of his own – like watching the ball into his hands.

Iran, by the way, was defeated by Qatar in the Asian Games semifinals. The host nation will play Iraq in the tournament final on Friday.

Man, that is so rough. It’s one of those things where you do something stupid and hope nobody notices, but then you realize that everyone is already laughing. d’oh.
