    Well there are defenders right there, so you could see how the assistant might have thought it came off one of their heads instead. Remember he can't see the top down angle, he's seeing it from a side angle.

    i dont understand how you miss that. ridiculous.

    It's a terrible mistake, the only think I can think of is that the assistant didn't think it hit off Klose's teammate but instead hit off one of the defenders. If he's not sure he should stand there and get the referees attention for clarification of who hit the ball.
