MLS players see red for 1/1000th of that amount of contact.
Sigh.

Wait…what’s the matter?
He was obviously trying to save the player from being hit in the head with the ball.

Oh, right, Dustin. I forgot. For Seattle players, it’s 1/100,000th of that contact.

The funny thing about Sounders challenges is that they’re not like this one, in the sense that they like to get red cards by doing things right in front of the referee. It takes a special sort of player to be sitting on a yellow card, and when all the referees are looking right at him, do something stupid that would warrant a second yellow. Ala Nate Jaqua.
