Daily Dose: November 12th, 2009.
By: chris | November 12th, 2009This letter from Nicolas Sarkozy’s office requesting a box at Croke Park on the weekend kicks off what may be the great diplomatic blowup since WWII.

Some, all or none if this may be true/legit. What’s inarguable is that it’s fantastically hilarious.

It’s a joke. There isn’t a “Rue du Blagueur” (Joker’s Road) in Paris… Yet.

I suppose a really good hoax needs to have one tell-tale clue like Rue de Blagueur in there somewhere. Otherwise it’s just a big lie. Well done to http://irishsoccerinsider.wordpress.com, or whoever cooked this up.

It shows pretty obvious signs of a hoax if you actually look at the site. It seems to be a one post blog that has been set up quickly–hence complete lack of formatting changes from the wordpress template.
