  • It was actually quite Barcelona-esque, in my opinion, but the final ball was lacking thanks the final ball and the lack of work rate in the midfield after all that passing "in one's own half" ended up drawing out their midfielders and opening space through the middle. There were two players up instead of four (partly because the midfielder who passed the ball up was kicked to the ground and thus was unable to provide support) and the player with the ball played a fairly aimless ball up through the middle rather than attempting to create another passing lane.

Roughly speaking, you can play like Barça but you can't be Barça until you have the talent and workrate to match a Xavi or an Iniesta.

I'm sure our other Championship supporters (maybe not John here) will agree with me when I say Donny don't play anything like Barca.

They pass it round aimlessly against teams that go to the Keepmoat to defend the game, but always manage to draw anyway (they've drawn 9 this season).

This can be seen in how we fared against them, came to attack them and press every ball, and we cut them apart. They have some nice passing, but nobody to ever make a chance out of it.

Having said that, they've picked up recently, but aren't playing so nicely. But Barca? Yes, adam's right, depply sarcastic. Strange way to promote your club though, that video.

    huh? was this sarcastic?

a minute long of incisive crisp passing...in ones own half?

    has to be sarcasm...

At least my team is finally featured on the offside. Donny till I die!

All that possession means nothing if they are not going to put one behind the net.
