Crouch’s Flying Overhead Robot Dance Goal Lifts Liverpool

Peter Crouch used all 25 feet of his legs to connect on an overhead goal that turned out to be the game winner in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Galatasaray in Champions League on Wednesday. Now you know what a windmill looks like turned on its side. The goal in the 52nd minute was Crouch’s second of the game and Liverpool held on to stay level with PSV Eindhoven in Group C. In the day’s other action, Barcelona could only manage a draw away to Werder Bremen, while Chelsea went atop the Group A table with a win over those plucky cats from Levski Sofia. Inter Milan lost its second straight Champions League match, falling 2-0 at home to Bayern Munich with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Fabio Grosso both being sent to the showers early with red card. Ouch.

Forget THE FREAK!!! What about Didier Drogba’s hat-trick (or three goals) he scored against those ‘plucky cats’ of Levski Sofia tonight.

I bet you won’t source the tube to find them.

Amazing goal! I hope that Crouch starts getting more respect. All he does is score during big games.

Blueblood58 - A great effort from Double D, indeed. Looking forward to seeing them square off against Barcelona. This might just be your year in CL.

    Cheers

i really dont like crouch .. i dony inderstand how a player like him becomes a footballer, i mean he has the complete opposite carasteristics of what a footballer should have .. any way you watch him break thoes lanky legs of his sooner or later

That is my point. The guy gets a bad rap because of his size, but he is a big game player. Not sure what else he could do to make people believe other than shrink some in size.

Peter Crouch has had it tough throughout his career from his critics because of his comic looks, but at the end of the day whether in an England shirt or a Liverpool one he bags goals, is instrumental in holding the ball up and chips in with an assist or two - and it’s testament to how good the English game is that he’s only our third best striker!

Senhor Bob. So it’s nice to come back to a blog and join fellow enthusiasts in conversations about the sport we love. It’s wonderful to see a wide variety of conversaqtion topics available too….Africa, Europe, CL, Counrtry Leagues et all.

One observation though. Under the Leagues you have all the major players and then one oddity. Romania Bob???? Have we shifted our support?..I’m sure the Angolans will be heart broken to see this. While you’re at it, why not add the Croatian league too. Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink.

Actually yeah, why NOT add the Croatian League?

well i can understand if a guy like koller who is over 2 meters can play becoz of his strong build , but crouch is too skinny and can get injured easily , but that was an amazing goal becoz its very difficult for a tall guy to make such an acrobatic move .

How can you say Drogbas Easy hat trick was anywhere near as good as crouches goal. 6ft 7 of legend is much better than dorgba who cant finish from anyware outside the box unless its an open goal.
