Ball hits net The nice people at French television channel Canal+ have put together their favourite goals (or “buts”) of the season from five different European leagues. There’s a video selection for the English Premier League, the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and of course Ligue 1.

Some great strikes in there, and if you can’t find something you like then maybe football isn’t the sport for you. So settle down, sit back, and end enjoy some of the finest goals scored around Europe in 2007/8.

As someone who rarely ever watches Ligue 1 (except on goalissimo sunday mornings every now and then), I thought that their compilation of goals was more impressive. Probably because there was more and they were all amazing in the own way.

I think someone should make a compilation video of the best of Europe - best header - best free kick - best overhead - best team goal, etc, etc (Maybe show the best from each of the top leagues)

That would be good (get on to it you lot)
