Ivelin Popov has been ordered to get Married and we’re Here to Help

The Offside has never been confused with an online dating site but that is all going to change today. We are here to provide help when needed and in the case of the 19-year-old Bulgarian Ivelin Popov, boy could he really use some help. The mercurial player who is described as having had “countless girlfriends and a violent temper” has been ordered by his club, Litex Lovech, to get married in the next year in the hopes that a ring on his finger might help him focus a bit more on football.
While we’ve never been ordered by our employer to find a wife (or husband, for that matter), we are sympathetic to Popov’s plight. It isn’t always easy finding the right person in your life, especially when you are quoted as saying, “I know I’m a very bad boy and I want to meet my 20th birthday as a married man.” Seriously, who the hell says something like that?
Obviously Popov needs our unsolicited help so that he can achieve his goal of becoming a married man by his 20th birthday and achieve his potential on the pitch, so here is our effort at crafting a personal ad for him.
