Proper Goal Celebration Genius: Fishing In Iceland

By: chris | July 27th, 2010

We’ve seen a lot of half-hearted attempts at celebration artistry over the years, but the boys in Iceland may have finally kicked over the throne and declared it spoken for. Not only was the goal itself a splendidly taken Panenka penalty – notice the subtle genius in using the extra flight time to allow the team to get into character – but we’re witness to an Oscar-caliber performance from the fish out of water. A performance of acting and flopping so moving, so believable, Cristiano Ronaldo just up and quit football.

Haha, now that's true style! :D
  • WIN.
  • I don't know how many hours of practice were necessary to perfect that celebration, but I suspect they could have traded it in for a deadly corner kick routine.

Man you don't see this level of creativity everyday. Definitely oscar worthy.
I just hope they didn't lose the game 9-1.
