Sebastien Sansoni Takes a Bite at his Opponent

If The Offside had a budget to hand out awards we’d offer up the Dumb Player of the Week trophy to French defender Sebastien Sansoni, who plays for Vitesse Arnheim in the Netherlands. Sansoni has been hit with a five-game ban after making the biting motion you see in the video above towards NEC’s Roy Beerens during a match on Sunday. Instead of using the “I’m a cannibal and I was merely hungry at the time” defense, Sansoni explained that he showed his incisors to Beerens as an act to merely “scare him off”. My neighbor’s dog made the same excuse last week after he bit the mailman.
