The Thirty Most Beautiful Goals of All Time?

By: Laurie | February 25th, 2008

Are these the thirty most beautiful goals of all time? Someone thinks so.

I can’t vouch for that, but I can say that they sure are pretty.

(I’m particularly fond of #23 by Roberto Carlos and #19 by Thierry Henry.)

These are definitely not the best 30 goals ever in football. I don't know if some of these would even make my top 50.

these are not the best 30....they must not play around the world...jus in europe..
  • A better title for this would be, "30 of the most beautiful goals from the last 20 years in Europe that are on Youtube with a heavy emphasis on the French with some token Maradona thrown in."

    Still, good stuff.

That Roberto Carlos goal is astounding. The angle and distance that ball came from was unreal.

    I'd add:

    1. Rooney's debut goal for Everton against Arsenal. It also ended Arsenal's unbeaten run.

    2. Gallas' winner against Tottenham that effectively clinched the league for Chelsea. Considering it came from a defender, it was surreal.

    And my personal fave:

Naka against Man Utd in last years Champions League group stages:

Or the instant replay the next time they met:

    Shimetah indeed!
  • Yeah, the order seemed a little random to me as well.
  • Maradona's run against England in WC 1986 at number 17?!?!?
