When Football Meets Porn

Circle September 20th 2007 on your calendar, it’s an important day. It’s when the worlds of football and hardcore pornography finally meet. On Italian television, of course. Italian hardcore channel Conto TV (careful how you say that) beat off several other channels (no pun intended, any dirty jokes are all in your mind) to show Fiorentina’s UEFA Cup First Round game against Groningen. A Conto TV executive said the move offered viewers “something different,” but failed to add that Italian men now have a convenient alibi when their subscription to a smutty channel appears on the bill. Unfortunately the tie will not be refereed by Ana Paula de Oliveira, though it should be.
