Who’s Cockier: Cristiano or Zlatan?

By: chris | November 29th, 2007

tmpphpzplpoh.jpgIt comes along with being young and supremely talented. Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan brahimovic are just that, and their cockiness matches the level of their respective abilities. Both have phenomenal ball skills, speed, shots, and most other attributes which are used to judge an attacking player. On Tuesday they both let their abilities fly, scoring silly goals and then proceeded to celebrate in a fashion that would have Narcissus blushing with pride. Most people, Sporting Lisboners or otherwise, would’ve liked to have slapped that pompous look all over The Other Ronaldo’s face, while it would have been totally justified if Roberto Carlos came over and went all Eric Cantona on Zlatan.

So, who is the cockiest of them all? We’re also taking write ins. Videos after the jump.

Zlatan:

Ronaldo:

And of course, a few years ago Nike put them on the pitch “together” to decide who is better. I’ve got Zlatan. I mean, he’s a 6′4 striker for crying out loud. (In case you missed it, look down.)

Haha god bless them both. They’re both out-of-their-minds talented and incredibly young.

In Ronaldo’s case, find me a 22 year old who isn’t cocky.

I believe Zlatan…Cristiano is just 22 …what do you expect…so much fame and adulation at such a young age…I also believe that he is getting better under Sir Alex..two years back he was so painful to watch..he used to do his thing and all the united players would be watching…look at him now certainly an improvement..

I get the feeling Zlatan is much less cocky off the pitch than he used to be, I think the Ronaldo kid does the strut on and off it.

For the world’s enjoyment, Martha, I hope you’re wrong!

I would would argue that Zlatan is more cocky, but in an endearing, charming way. Ronaldo more in the “makes you want to punch him in the face” type of way…

CR7 is a show off, but this year he actually is good as he thinks he is. I loved watching him score against Sporting Lisbon. But a few years ago he was always showing his skills, losing the ball, and diving.

As for Zlatan, he is pretty arrogant but he proves to haters that he actually is really good.

Chris just post that stuff you have of Ibra for Sweden in the WC warm-ups (the one with “Zuper-Zuper-Zuperman” in the background). That clearly settle which one is better.

Ronaldi is definately the more cocky of the two. But honestly, I don’t quite see any reason that they shouldn’t be cocky. They’re both two of the best in the sport at the current moment. Both are assests to their respective teams and some would even go as far as saying that they’re irreplaceable.
