Bastian Schweinsteiger Prefers Scoring over Sex
By: Bob | January 11th, 2007
Loyal readers, you now have definitive proof that I am neither a) German and b) a teenage girl. I know you were suspicious about the latter. According to a poll of teenage readers of the magazine Bravo Girl, Bayern Munich and Germany international midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been voted the most attractive man in Germany in 2006. I’m not seeing it but perhaps that is because I have a Y chromosome and because the name Schweinsteiger makes me think of a pig.
Former chancellor Helmut Kohl came in a distant 222nd in the voting, while Oliver Kahn finished somewhere between a leper who lost his nose and a guy decided to wash his face in a tub of hydrochloric acid.
As for Mr. Schweinsteiger, he is taking his sex symbol status in stride and concentrating on the important things.
“Naturally, both sex and scoring goals produce a great feeling, but I prefer scoring goals. Soccer is my life and I’d do anything for it. On the other hand, I wouldn’t do anything for sex.” says Schweinsteiger.
And you thought those German teen magazines just covered things like how to get rid of acne and the best ways to show your love for David Hasselhoff in public.

You’re not solely correct. He was elected “football player with the nicest upper body”. Not most attractive man in Germany.

I’m not seeing it either.
