Bundesliga Kickoff: Schweinsteiger to the Rescue

Friday was day one of the 2010-11 Bundesliga, and it all kicked off in Munich, with Bayern hosting Steve McClaren’s Wolfsburg. It took all of nine minutes for Thomas Mueller to open the scoring and looked like it might be an easy day at the park for the Bayern boys. But Wolfsburg do have one of Europe’s elite strikers in Edin Dzeko, and Bayern’s defense couldn’t hold him forever. Dzeko equalized and it went scoreless into the 90th minute. That’s when Bastian Schweinsteiger stepped in. The video explains the rest.
