Ivan Rakitić Makes a Name for Himself

The Bundesliga got underway last night when 2006/7 champions Stuttgart and runners-up Schalke fought out a 2-2 draw. Good start to what should be an interesting season in Germany (what with all those euros Bayern have spent) but it also gave us a new name to talk about. Ivan Rakitić is the 19 year old Croat scoring for Schalke 04 on his Bundesliga debut, proving that stepovers aren’t just for show.
