Things Aren’t Going Spectacularly Well For Stuttgart

Of course this is going to start off with a Jens howler – how could it not?

If not for his recent contract extension, Jens would be looking at a future NFL career after his latest comedy moment in goal on the weekend. It’s all really fairly simple: cross drifts towards goal, Jens catches ball, Jens drifts towards goal, ball winds up in goal. Just like an all-pro wide receiver. Stuttgart ended up winning, but still.

* – And I think Blur’s Song 2 has had its day as a goal celebration song. Yes, it worked wonderfully for a long time – but we’re creeping towards 2010 here. Turn the page already.
