Daniel, thanks for the video link. I'm dying to see the whole thing, but it keeps hanging up about 1/3 of the way through. Hopefully they'll fix it so I can add it to the post. (Because I really want to see the game part!!)

There is a fine high quality video about Hoffenheim (in English): http://www.sap-tv.com/?a=3093&l=1

I don`t think that the outcome of this project will be the same as in the case of Gretna. Hoffenheim is a small village, but it has to be said that 1.2 mio people live in the surrounding area. And since they have been longing for a Bundesliga team for a while.

Village team gets to the top flight on the strength of a super-rich benefactor with very few other sources of income ... I hope they do better than Gretna. They'll need to bring support from the entire surrounding area to even 1/3 fill the new stadium, so it's a huge gamble going up so early. Should be a great story to follow next season, and I really do hope they can manage it.
