Wanna Stick It To The Oil Industry? Root For Bayern

Uli Hoeness, much like the common man, is fed up with the oil industry. Oil prices? Absolutely insane. Leaders of the industry? Spawn of Satan. Footballing world? Too influenced by this “oil mafia”. How can we combat this global issue? Vigilante Bayern thrashing these soulless cash vacuums on the European pitch.

So if you want to protest the oil industry, jump on the bandwagon of the high kings of morality, FC Bayern.

“This oil mafia is taking the money out of my pocket to put it into footballers. This mafia controls the whole world and manipulates the oil price. I am not prepared to put up with it much longer.”

Asked what he could do to counter it, Hoeness said Bayern had to beat teams like Champions League finalists Chelsea on the pitch.

“That would give me great satisfaction,” he said.

First of all, kudos to Uli for this unabashed rant. Good rants are hard to find sometimes and they never go unappreciated round these parts.

Now, going after Big Boss personally? I can’t imagine that’s a smart idea. Nothing specific to back that up, but I strongly doubt too many people will disagree. Nor would I suggest throwing his name and “mafia” around in the same sentence publicly. Again, just because…
