Michael Bradley Should Spend Less Time Practicing Volleys and More Time Leaping Rivers

By: Daryl | March 24th, 2008

Bless the Eredivisie, if it doesn’t produce the most goal-filled games in Europe*. This weekend was more of the same, as Heerenveen came from 3-1 down to beat Roda 4-3. Young American midfielder Michael Bradley scored two for Heerenveen, including this magnificent volley for the winner. It takes an impressive degree of technique and bendyness to stand back to goal and still turn and hit the target. So the big question is: If Bradley possesses that kind of athleticism, why is he so very very bad at fierljeppen?

We’re expanding our Eredivisie coverage on The Offside in the near future. If you’re interested in getting involved please read our editorial guidelines, where you’ll find details on how to apply.

*I have no stats to back that up, just a general feeling.
