A Global Keepy-Uppy Record In A Global City

By: chris | January 27th, 2010

Dan Magness already owned the world keepy-uppy record, but that was not enough. Like any great athlete, he had to find new ways of testing himself, new motivations. So he broke yet another record, by keeping up the football all the way across London. Yes, thirty-six miles of keepy-uppy in one day – damn near half a day at that.

Someone please help this man’s long distance vision.

Dan Magness, 26, from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, began juggling the ball at Fulham Football Club’s Craven Cottage home at 8am on Tuesday under the supervision of Guinness officials.

He completed his 14-hour tour of London’s five Premier League grounds when he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur’s White Hart Lane home at about 10pm.

He already held the world record by juggling for 24 hours, and now he holds the world distance record.

You know, standing in one place is one thing, but doing so up against such obstacles as traffic, stop lights, bike couriers, carelessly flicked cigarettes and errant William Gallas tackles is entirely another. A tremendously impressive feat and a record…he can have. I can barely stand going to one stadium in a day, much less five.
