“2 Good 2 Bad” 2007/8 Premier League Highlights

By: Daryl | May 7th, 2008

For those unfamiliar, Match of the Day is a BBC institution. A Saturday night highlight show that’s been around for as long as most people can remember, currently hosted by Gary Lineker. For the last few years, Match of the Day has had a little brother named Match of the Day 2, which airs on Sunday nights. It’s supposed to be a little more irreverent because it’s hosted by Adrian Chiles and his West Midlands accent.

MotD 2 also has an amusing little feature called “2 Good 2 Bad,” which picks out chuckle-worthy little moments from the weekend’s action. The above video (spotted on 101 Great Goals) is a sort of “2 Good 2 Bad” best of for the 2007/8 Premier League.

My personal favourites are Rahdi Jaidi’s incredible dive, the Spurs fan on crutches who’s miraculously cured by a Dimitar Berbatov goal, and the two separate incidenets of old ladies giving opposition players the finger. But the less said about the fancy dress joke at the end the better.

MoTD 2, far better than the Saturday night version. I’d prefer Adrian Chiles over Gary Lineker anyday…even if he is a Baggie (congratulations to them by the way).

Is he a Baggie? He never mentions it (!)

Yea I totally agree. I watch all of MOTD2, even if I have watched all of the games teh day before on MOTD. Adrian Chiles is much funnier and talks as a proper fan, not as a ‘football expert’ the ex-footballers call themselves.

What makes someone a football expert anyway?? Playing certainly doesnt surely. Managing a team to success, maybe.
