My take on what he is saying is that he plays in <i>Europe</i> for the money. If there was more money in football in Africa, he would have stayed there. I dont think he was snubbing Arsenal only stating an economic fact: anyone who wants to make real money playing football has to go to England or Europe. In every day life we achieve to pursue bigger paydays. But it would be nice to have accountability. Adebayor has been injured quite often and his goal production has been anemic, so has he earned his pay like the rest of the working class? We all get "DELETED" from our jobs once we are of no value to that institution so why a club releasing a useless player should be blamed? Good riddance he doesn't deserve to wear the shirt! He is being honest about something that we all have known.

Athletes have a whole bunch of public relations managers behind them trying to make everything they say into something noble but the fact of the matter is money speaks louder. Every man has his price the only reason some transfers dont go through is because of other issues but of course those smart PR managers will find a way to twist a failed negotiation into statements of loyalty. What he’s saying is common sense of course it’s about the money.
