Eduardo Makes Arsenal Return; Leaves Injured Again.
By: chris | December 16th, 2008
This is so typically 2008-09 Arsenal, unfortunately. When something goes right, it goes twice as wrong the next day.
Eduardo da Silva made his return back from that horrific leg break last spring in Birmingham for the Arsenal reserves this evening. He started the 2-0 over Portsmouth’s reserves – obviously not a very good lot – but unfortunately had to be subbed off injured at the half with a hammy twinge.
“At the moment I’m better and feel very happy.
“I came off at half-time because I felt something in my hamstring but think I will be alright in two weeks.
“My situation with the injury was very hard but I have to forget everything bad in my life.”
Frustrating, but comparatively wonderful given his last game. Two weeks will merely seem like the blink of an eye.
According to the Telegraph (will look for highlights, surely will be around somewhere), his first noticeable moment on the pitch was a just-this-side-of-subtle dive.
Sporting garish luminous green boots, seemingly the order of the day amongst the Arsenal striking fraternity at present, his first act was to dive outrageously in the box under minimal contact in the fifth minute.
I think he can be forgiven on this occasion. Simply wonderful that he’s back on the pitch. Any pitch at that.

arsene sh’d be more serious than he is , u cant play a pllayer on a pitch who is of more use to the opponets than his club. am sorri to mention DIABY is not a player of arsnal quality, before even i can blame any player on the liverpool game i can blame diaby , for i counted the blind passes he gave out to pool ,( sixteen 16) and only 8 passes to his team mates, made 4 fouls hich resulted into freekicks. why sit down Aron on the bench and carlos.
iam expecting critics to say that,”aron and carlos are weak and not fit for a big match like that”, my question will also be posed to them and inquire if whilshere, merida, aron and carlos, where too big to win the chelse boggy side of wigan by 3 – 0,another group of critics will bring excuses to show me how he performed on the arsenal united game, yes he played good because he was relieved off that pasing role of amidle fielder that even if he droped the ball tn=he midle field was on the breake v.good that it could just fight for it and win it back.
sir whenever i go to watch an arsenal game and see diaby on the starting line up i very much expect a loose , fairly expect a draw and narrowly expect a win, and making matters worse if he is brought onto the pitch when we are leading on alarge scale i expect to end in adraw or lose the game or end the game on tension.some of the case study games include: this season looses, and last season games like bolton wanderas, not until he was red carded that we had to take control of the game and even win it.
please don’t quote me wrong, just watch all arsenal losses , they are attributed to poor passing , lack of game pace.
indeed playing ABOU DIABY on the pitch is like having a red card.
sir am up for ur critisisms. (packermanbk@gmail.com)Posted from
