Garry Cook: There is No Conspiracy at Man City, or: “You Want the Truth? You Can’t Handle The Truth!”
By: Daryl | December 22nd, 2009[original video replaced with improved version, which was spotted at spotted at EPL Talk]
The Man City press conference introducing Roberto Mancini as Mark Hughes’ successor went a bit wrong yesterday, with chief exec Garry Cook first claiming City had been “nothing but transparent” with Hughes, despite the fact the club’s owner and chairman had met with Mancini three weeks earlier. You know, while Hughes was still in charge.
This little paradox brought a terse little “there are no conspiracies!” outburst from Cook, which can be seen above.
Alternative press conference video below, with Jack Nicholson playing the part of Garry Cook:
So turns out he did order the code red.

Also, is anyone else shocked at the Roberto Mancini appointment? I’m not saying he’s a bad coach, but I always expected that if/when Man City got rid of Hughes then they would bring in an absolutely world class coach. Guus Hiddink would have made sense. Roberto Mancini has me a little confused. Any Inter fans out there with an opinion on this?
