Here’s Another Headline About Those Referees Picking on Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney has an explanation for why he can’t seem to make it through a match without picking up a red card. It is the fault of those headline-grabbing referees who are picking on him.
Said Rooney while he was busy trying to capture headlines while promoting his new autobiography:
“Possibly I am getting picked on,” he said.”Referees get a lot of headlines with some decisions they make. I am not having a go at referees but that is the way the game has gone. Sometimes, referees have to take the consequences of that.”
Quick, name the referee who sent Rooney off during last week’s exhibition match against Porto.
Can’t remember his name? Me neither.
I guess he didn’t do a good enough job of grabbing those headlines that read: “Rooney Sent off Again for Being a Dumb Ass.”
