Huge Shock for Alex Ferguson

By: Daryl | September 22nd, 2008

We’re used to seeing Fergie looking either very very confident, or very very angry. We very rarely see him looking absolutely terrified. The above video (from Sunday’s game at Stamford Bridge) is proof that Fergie’s biggest fear isn’t Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid (as we previously suspected) but actually Mike Phelan bursting a balloon with his foot.

Good thing his ticker is still in good shape.

Hahaha that video is fantastic! And I think the reason Sir Alex decided to dress down was to match to Scolari, who always wears his track suit by the pitch instead of a suit. Although, methinks it backfired since Scolari, although a bit round, still looks hard, while Ferguson... just looked pudgy and foolish.

or maybe they did not want to dress up for a small Chelsea game!! thought about that angle?? :) ..mind games...the British press will say...you have to say everyone, at least the players, except Fergie looked good in that white
  • Yeah, he normally dresses up a bit. I genuinely suspect that Fergie's sartorial decisions had something to do with the whole financial meltdown. Wouldn't be hugely surprised to learn that all the Man Utd staff wore prominent AIG logos to remove any doubts about the status of the sponsorship deal.
  • Just one question: can the man not find something better (and more flattering) to wear?
