It is a Good Time to be Carlos Tevez

gallery_tevez.jpgYou can add Carlos Tevez to the column of people that are having a pretty decent week. First he helped Argentina advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa America. Next his current club won in the courtroom. And now he is on the verge of leaving that courtroom-winning current club to join the growing crop of U-25 superstars that play for Manchester United.

All in all Carlitos is having himself a ball, but he isn’t quite ready to proclaim himself a Red Devil.

“As far as I am aware, I have not received any official offers,” Tevez told Argentina national newspaper Clarin.

“Once an offer arrives then we will see. But the fact that Real Madrid, Internazionale and Manchester United are interested in me makes me proud.

“If I have to stay at West Ham, it would be fine,” he said. “I am happy there and people love me very much.”

That last bit about staying at West Ham was most likely said while he was secretly dancing for joy about his impending transfer.

Will he fit in with the cast of characters at Manchester United? Only time will tell, but one thing you can’t deny is that the Premiership champs are going full steam ahead while their competition are stuck in slow motion.
