That headline is only funny if you grew up watching Jeremy Beadle’s semi-legendary hidden camera show on ITV in the UK. And even then it’s only borderline.

But it is true. Joey Barton was released from prison today and Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has – rightly or wrongly – decided to give the Bart man a second chance.
