Nery is an incredible player. He does well when a coach allows him to use each side of the field on his attack instead of forcing him into one fixed position. When given the oppurtunity to show his worht like his last year at Olympiacos and in Copa America he doesn’t hog the ball. He is a creative genius and should not be tamed.

Nery is our mexican version of Cassano he can have some pretty bad temper tantrums. If someone can keep his attitude in check, like Roy Keane, it would be better for him in the long run.

castillo can be a ball hog…he has showed it in mexico against teams in the copa america and gold cup…many times if he would of passed the ball we would of scored but he wanted to impress people so bad he missed (horribly)…but in the copa america he did shine for the cameras so theres a pro and con with this guy…the penalty stealing tho…horrible…i would of asked him “can i take this one” and just to see if this guy would let me…but then again this game has egos…the guy wouldnt let him..and castillo wouldnt move…egos always get in the way…mayb in england if they let him play he can see that ur never bigger than ur own team…

Poor bugger. Shame OCFP lost/got rid of him, whoever’s genius idea that one was; Kovacevic, Lua Lua, and friends have done more than all right this season, but one has to wonder what they could’ve accomplished with Castillo still on side.

FYI: Nery Castillo was _not_ born in Uruguay. He was born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico to an Uruguayan father and Mexican mother.

Castillo is great but he can be a huge ball hog sometimes and I think that arabaic announcer in the Mex vs. Brazil vid called him Omar Bravo hahah

I don’t know about Castillo, but Carlos Vela complete pwned Sergio Ramos a few times on Sunday, including a beautiful nutmeg. Don’t see that very often.
