Sex Scandal Alert: Frank Lampard Loving Las Vegas

Just when I was getting ready to blame the lack of tabloid-generated sex scandals this summer on global warming, along come a couple of stories to break the torturous drought. The perfect storm, as you will, allegedly involved a formula we know all so well: a professional athlete, a trip to Las Vegas, a willing female and some of those proverbially unnamed sources on hand to help fill in the details.
The seldom reliable but occasionally entertaining Rupert Murdoch-owned News of the World reports about Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard’s recent visit to Sin City, which evidently ended up with Lamps and a Eastern European beauty spending some alone time in his suite talking about subjects that probably did not include the fact that he is a kept man.
But just minutes later the beauty’s smiles turned to sobs when the News of the World told her the truth about her dashing 29-year-old date.
With tears streaming down her face, she said: “I had no idea he was a rich footballer and he didn’t tell me he had a girlfriend and two daughters.
“This is terrible. I don’t know what to do. This is a nightmare.”
Why is it always the Eastern European beauties that sleep with men they just met that are the ones that end up getting hurt in these situations?
For his part, Lampard denies the story.
The News of the World also does the world a service by informing us that Cristiano Ronaldo has been getting sloppy seconds from his WAG Gemma Atkinson. Apparently she used to enjoy the company of Ronaldo’s teammate Alan Smith in the past, a fact that she has kept from CR7. Once again, the WAG is the one who ends up feeling the worst.
The stress of hiding the truth has taken its toll on Gemma, who confided in friends: “It’s just not fair on Cristiano, it’s taking the p*** and it’s just making me feel rotten. I can’t have it on my conscience.”
She must be very relieved that the story is out in the open and no longer on her conscience.

And what’s the world coming to when a self-respecting footballer can’t even shag an Eastern European beauty in the privacy of his own hotel room? Does “News of the World” not know that what happens in Vegas should STAY in Vegas? Isn’t it, like, a law?
I expect that they’ll be hearing from the Vegas Tourism Department’s lawyers very soon.

The bigger scandal would be for those players to all be in Vegas and for nothing sordid to have happened. Lampard took one for the team.
