Sheffield United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny’s Eyebrow Bitten Off in Brawl

kenny_paddy_shef_profile_2006.jpgI can think of some terrible things that I would never want to experience in life and I would have to say that having an eyebrow bitten off is high up on the list. Sheffield United and Ireland keeper Paddy Kenny suffered such a fate during a brawl outside a curry shop in Halifax late Monday morning. No, Wayne Rooney wasn’t involved in this one, although that was the first thing that popped into my head.

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock doesn’t really blame his player, but rather the eyebrow eating maniacs that live in Halifax:

“You obviously don’t like things like this, and if Paddy had been the offender then I would be more concerned,” remarked Warnock.

“But I don’t believe this particular incident was Paddy’s fault. His only fault was going out where he shouldn’t have done.

“I’ve told Paddy in the past not to go out in Halifax, and all of a sudden he is back out there. It’s not a coincidence.

“He won’t be going out in Halifax again. I’ll be making my point clear to him on that.”

Warnock expects the one-eyebrowed Kenny to be available to face Rooney and his Manchester United gang this weekend.
