So that Explains Kevin Keegan’s Hair
By: Bob | August 9th, 2006
Former England player and manager Kevin Keegan’s hair has taken its rightful place back in the headlines today after he was the recipient of the world’s fastest haircut. That’s right, the world’s fastest haircut.
Keegan took to the chair as his longtime friend and hair stylist Trevor Mitchell broke his own mark for hair clipping, coming through with a stunning time of 59 seconds – a full 12 seconds ahead of his previous record set back on that memorable day in 2004.
Mitchell, 71, said: ‘I knew I could beat my own record. I’m just too fast after so many years cutting hair.
‘I had to cut exactly 2cm from the whole head – and you can’t just shave it. The cut has to be a formal short, back and sides.
‘I’m thrilled to have broken my own record.’
You can take away the clippers and styling gel from Mitchell, but you can never take away this monumental achievement.
Mitchell, by the way, is the man largely responsible Keegan’s god awful perms and mullets of days gone by.
