Studs Up: Fergie and Ramos Taunt Wenger
By: Daryl | August 5th, 2008
Poor Arsene Wenger has enough problems trying to scrape cash together for a midfielder (or a defender, which is what he needs if you ask me) without having Alex Ferguson and Juande Ramos laughing at his financial problems in our latest web comic from Chris Toy.
Don’t they know there’s a credit crunch on?

Funny how everyone likes to try to mess with Arsenal and it’s fans. Jealousy makes people do strange things.
It would be amusing to see how well some of these clubs would do if they weren’t propped up by outside money. Practically NONE of the so-called big clubs operate for a profit save the Gunners.

Firstly, I have absolutely no idea what ‘dily’ said above me because it seems to have been written in some language I’m not familiar with.
And the comic strip of what looks like Juande Ramos, Elton John and Dot Cotton is really quite poor. Must try harder.

Yep..I suppose with spending all that money Spurs will improve this season…and might even push for a top ten place !!

Leave the poor spuds alone. The summer is the only season where they can do any talking. they will be mathatically locked into mid-table obscurity by October, and we’ll here the classic refrain “Next Year”

Whether the shoe was on the other (Arsenal) foot, this is pretty juvenile humor. It’s just not funny. Of course, there is no other foot: Arsenal just does not enage in the kind of excessive spending that Man U, sugar baby Chavs, and now Liverpool do (in recent years, Spurs have always wasted money). Keane at 28 and 20 milion is absurd, and his chasing in the money speakes volumes about the exaggerated evaluation of players, even in this bloated market that is the PL. Arsenal except for property that appreciates or adds and coninues to xetden value, like stadia, will not add to this race to watseful indebtedness. It’s a very different business model, and it produces very different teams. You can buy a Rooney, but appears you can no longer develop hi, You cxan develop a Fabregas and a Wiltshore, and eventually buy them, but it will not be Arsenal doing the latter.
I have no objection to cartoons and humor. At their best they depict realties far better than any words can. However, this one only partly gets it, and even then, it just aint funny.Posted from
