Sunderland Fan Loses a Bet and Has to Kiss the Newcastle Badge

Tyne-Wear derby + bet between mates + YouTube = suffering/hilarity. Seems these lads had a bet on yesterday’s Newcastle vs Sunderland game, with the loser having to kiss the winning team’s badge.

Said loser is Sunderland fan Anto who – thanks to two goals from Micheal Owen – had to slip on a black and white shirt and pucker up to kiss the Newcastle crest. While his Magpies-loving mate videotaped the whole thing.

My favourite thing isn’t the horrified look on Anto’s face, or the gloating glee in the camera-wielding Newcastle fan’s voice, but the fact that poor old Anto genuinely struggles to find the badge, located in the centre of the Newcastle shirt, not on the left like he’s used to. Breaks your heart, doesn’t it?

Still, got to love Anto’s response – “What goes around, comes around” – which I think means he’s willing to take the same bet next season, and then maybe he’ll be the one holding the camera. Or maybe we’ll get to watch him kiss the Newcastle badge all over again.
