The West Ham Mystery Gets Murkier
By: Bob | September 1st, 2006
Fresh on the heels of their conspiracy-laden end of the transfer window signings, there are now reports that West Ham United are having exploratory discussions over a possible takeover move.
“Discussions are at an early stage and there can be no certainty that an offer for West Ham will be forthcoming,” said a club statement to the Stock Exchange.
“The board also confirms that there is no contractual link between the signing of the players (Tevez and Mascherano) and the bid discussions.”
That last part is very hard to believe, dontcha think?
It would take a great leap of faith to believe that a club not known for its spending powers suddenly lands two of the hottest commodities on the market and then the next day just up and decides to enter into takeover discussions.
Somehow we think that this story is going to get even more interesting in the coming days….

Tevez and Mascherano have clauses in their contracts that they can leave West Ham at any time!!!

It is odd, but it could also turn out to be a nightmare for West Ham supporters.
