Wayne Rooney Nutmegged By A Kid Off The Streets
By: chris | February 16th, 2009Add Wayne Rooney to the list of people who aren’t happy about the age of the mobile phone camera. Wayne, who is sponsored by Nike (not sure you’d heard), participated in some five-a-side marketing runarounds in Manchester for Nike Five (expect a viral soon), the company’s upcoming tournament searching for the best five-a-side team in Ingerland. Enter some kid with some quick feet and watch him put the ball in between the legs of Senor Rooney, much to Wayne’s embarrassment. No idea who this kid is, but start keeping an eye out at the United training ground for someone looking like Cristiano Ronaldo without the tan. Also a rumor that said kid was taken from the pitch in an ambulance with double cleat marks adoring his sternum (the guilty party is unknown), but that is as of yet unconfirmed.
Maybe a bit tough for Wayne to swallow – he’s competitive, you know – but at least it wasn’t Rio Ferdinand, who wasn’t participating in the same game. That would be a bit tougher to explain.

AAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
At first you would think it was the kid who nutmegged him screaming (y’know, since Rooney would probably drop him right then and there) but then the camera pans right to show you it’s some moron.Posted from

don’t you think this seemingly “real” video was the viral ? I highly doubt this footage is authentic, considering this was part of a Nike ad … think abt it …

yes but don’t you find it convenient that “finally an authentic video promoting nike, although not in the way nike intended” has surfaced on the web ?

showing one of their players not performing well while wearing nike gear? it’d be a weird approach.
