When Frank Lampard Attacks. (Or Defends.)

By: chris | April 24th, 2009

Frank Lampard’s ex (Elen Rives for those allergic to gossip) had a vino-fueled tirade the other evening in which she said she’s living in a small flat with their two children after the breakup while Frank lives in their nice, big house (which would make sense since he is one of the highest paid footballers on the planet and they were never married). However, something says her idea of a “small flat” isn’t exactly steeped in reality. (Frank agrees.)

So this morning James O’Brien, a London talk show host, reported the news and “said that men who allow their children to live in inferior circumstances to them were ‘weak and scum’”. Which was enough for Frank to call in and dress down the DJ, whose idea of an argument is to talk loudly through the other man’s words and who now looks like a complete idiot. Well done, Frank.

Lampsy seems to be brilliant not only on the pitch, but in the private life too. Frank, we support you!

GO Lamps...I'd hate to be in his shoes, with my family being in the spot light of a whole nation...must be so uncomfortable.

Agreed. He dealt with it exactly right, didn't go off or get nasty with the guy, but made his point perfectly clearly. Well done.

  • big up to lampard. big respect. sounds like a footballer with passion and doesn't let someone walk all over him and his family issues.
