If Wise or Poyet took the job they would be lynched, None of the fans in Newcastle are thinking of a replacement yet-they just want Mike Ashley to sell the club and leave-and take his puppets with him.

I dont think the team is in too bad of shape, they have a decent group of young players. Its just that the board has almost no choice but to appoint Wise, or his boy Poyet. I doubt many managers, particularly English ones, would want to step in to the current situation.

Howeveah!! It could be a good fit for Shearer, as his lack of experience could have him focus solely on what happens on the field with Wise and co. handling player-personnel decisions. Its really a matter of whomever comes in working with Wise since its quite obvious he wont be going anywhere.

I just can’t see anyone but Wise taking it, because I can’t see anyone else wanting it. I mean, when KK took over I thought it was only because he knew and loved the club and that helped him overlook what a mess it is. How many managers have they had between Keegan’s reigns?

I think you would have to be mad to take it if you were a top manager. Mad.
