William Gallas Is Mr. Accidental Goal
By: chris | August 23rd, 2009They say that to win anything in football, you need a certain degree of luck. If William Gallas’ luck is any indication early on this season, Arsenal just might win every trophy the world over.
Yesterday, in the 4-1 thumping of Portsmouth, William Gallas once again found himself on the scoresheet. And once again, he had no intention of getting on the scoresheet – the ball simply had different ideas. So for the second time in four days, Gallas got to celebrate a deflected goal whilst the sting dissipated from his face.
Last year Arsenal were pretty unlucky through injury, so maybe this is the karmic comeback reaping its rewards through Lady Luck. Because there’s no reason Gallas should’ve scored either of those goals and there’s no real good reason why William should find himself on the scoresheet twice in a week.
I guess this means if Nicklas Bendtner buries a sitter within the next few weeks, hell hath frozen over and this really is Arsenal’s year.

To finish off what Joel said:
4 off the feet
6 off the head
5 off the back
7 off the face
and 3 off areas we’d rather just all not think about.Posted from

At least he’s a defender who can shoot the ball off his face into the right goal..Here’s looking at you Chris Brass

Has anyone seen the Studs Up comic of Gallas’ goal vs Celtic. I dont understand how he can claim the goal vs Celtic. He has no intention of even touching the ball, and if it had deflected off of a defender instead, it would have counted as Fabregas’ goal.
