Fernando Torres Reportedly Headed to Manchester United

fernando-torres.jpgIt has been a busy couple of days for the man nicknamed after a weather pattern. Fernando Torres – El Nino – will join Manchester United next summer if the reports are true that his current club Athletico Madrid have accepted Man U’s down payment on the Spanish international striker.

At the mere age of 22, Torres is a hot commodity following his four goal performance for Spain at the World Cup. He also has been at the center of a firestorm in Spain this week following his team’s 1-1 draw against Real Madrid. Torres came under fire from Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello after taking a fall that led to Real’s Sergio Ramos being sent off.

Capello labeled Torres a “cheater”, but has since backed away from those comments. Cheater or not, Torres is a talent and should pair nicely with Wayne Rooney to give Manchester United one of the best and most tattooed young forward combinations around. He’ll also team up with Cristiano Ronaldo to give United a powerful one-two combination in the much coveted category of Google football player seaches by girls ages 13-17.

Below are some clips of Torres, the first shows his marginally cheating ways against Real Madrid and the second shows him scoring over and over and over again with the mandated YouTube soundtrack accompanying his many heroic feats.

i'm one of the man utd suporters i like to get man utd forward striker fernado tores .

  • Interestingly, Fer Torres was the player who gave away the most balls during the last Spanish season in the league (300+, I believe).

The price that's being bandied around is far too much. Torres is useful for scoring against 1) minnows and 2) Barcelona. So not useful unless you're Real Madrid, who, ironically, he hates.

This would further cement my hatred of Man U. Torres is a punk. Talented, but a punk.
