Mortiz Volz Channels the Powers of the Hoff

david_coleman.jpgActor and singer David Hasselhoff has been an inspiration to many of us. After watching his music video last week, for example, I was inspired to slash out my eyes and to remove my eardrums with chopsticks. The world has become a quieter and lovelier place. Thanks, Hoff.

The Hoff’s inspiration has apparently extended to the world of football too. The German player Mortiz Volz credits the Baywatch legend for helping him to score his first Premiership goal in Fulham’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.

“It was the first time I had worn my new boots with ‘HOFF 2′ sewn on them,” he said. “It’s Hoff power.”

If you haven’t come to the conclusion yet that Volz is a nutjob (but in a good way), all you need to do is visit his Web site and observe his obsession with the Hoff firsthand.
