Sex, Drugs and Manchester City
By: Bob | September 15th, 2006
Rock stars are kind of like football managers. No matter how hard you try to erase them from your memories they always seem to stick around and make headlines long after their best days have passed them by.
Oasis Noel Gallagher recently took a break from making homophobic and otherwise publicity-driven offensive remarks to offer AC Milan star Paolo Maldini £7.8 million a year to play for his favorite club, Manchester City.
Maldini, who might just win this year’s most gullible athlete award, apparently took Gallagher’s offer seriously even though the two discussed it at a party where, surprise, Gallagher was under the influence of something.
Gallagher told The Daily Mirror: “I said to him in a drunken ramble if he promised to play for City I would personally give him £150,000 a week. My manager rang me to tell me he thought I meant it. I had to say to phone him and say I didn’t,” he added.
Somehow we don’t think this is the first time the singer had to call someone up and explain that his drunk ramblings were rubbish.

Noel Gallagher seems pretty pally with the Italian players, he was interviwed on tv before the Germany-Italy semifinal and was there as a guest of Del Piero.

Think they could tell him his musical ramblings are rubbish as well?

Homophobic? Phobia means to have a fear of something. So is he afraid of homosexuals? Probably not. Just because someone disapproves of the homosexual life style doesn’t make one homophobic. If anything it makes one normal.

Mr T, if getting worked up about what other consenting adults do in bed is “normal”, it’s an increasingly abnormal world out there. And all the better for it. Oh, and “lifestyle” is one word, not two.
