Bordeaux Come From Three Goals Down to Win 4-3
By: Daryl | December 22nd, 2008The headline says it all. Incredible comeback from Bordeaux, who refused to recognize “3-0 down after 50 minutes” as the inevitable defeat that it should have been, away to Monaco. I imagine most teams would have been happy just to get the game over with and hit the casinos.
The comeback started when Marouane Chamakh headed home a cross in the 52nd, then Alou Diarra unleashed a rocket in the 67th before Chamakh headed home again in the 88th to make it 3-3. That would have been impressive enough, but Fernando Cavenaghi went one better by slotting home a winner in the 89th.
Sorry to disappoint, but the win prompted no semi-nakedness from Yoann Gourcuff. It did put Bordeaux second in Ligue 1 though, just three points behind Lyon going into the winter break.

That was quite a game. Monaco must be totally demoralized!

Reminds me of that game, we started our come back on the 52nd minute, I nearly had an aneurysm that day, in the end it made no difference to the season, but that and the Manchester victory were the definate highlights.
