Here’s your Chance to Play in MLS for only $115 Canadian
By: Bob | November 7th, 2006
Maybe you watched the MLS playoffs this past weekend and thought that you could do better than some of the feeble shots taken by DC United’s forwards. Or maybe you are sitting on the bench right now in Madrid wishing you had the chance to bend it in the starting lineup once again. Or maybe you love all things Canadian and would appreciate the opportunity to work in a country with socialized health care and excellent maple syrup.
If any of these things strike a chord with you, here’s the opportunity you have been waiting for. Major League Soccer’s newest expansion team Toronto FC is hosting open tryouts during the always balmy Canadian month of December. Be one of the first 1,000 people to sign up, plop down $115 in Loonies and you can earn a shot at playing in MLS. Just be forewarned. If you are offered a roster spot it might take you years to earn enough to pay back that tryout fee.
