LA Galaxy Small Talk Moment with Conan O’Brien

By: Bob | January 17th, 2007

While the world eagerly awaits final word on where the David Beckham clan will choose to reside in southern California (is that Charles Manson house for sale?), the soccer experts continue to weigh in on what the move means for MLS and American soccer. Providing the in-depth analysis today is late night comedian Conan O’Brien and his band leader Max Weinberg. I couldn’t agree more with Max’s take except for the bit about moving Quavas Kirk. That would be a disaster.

The unfortunate view of too many Americans.
  • I don't know what's more disturbing: how ridiculous everybody considers soccer, or the fact that I was nodding along to pretty much everything he said. (I also enjoyed the pronunciation of Cruyff.)
  • Love that some of the crowd booed Conan for dissing soccer though.
  • particularly liked the Conan pronounced Cruyff - course for all I know that's some kind of speech impediment - that's the first time I've seen him in eight years

MLS has officially jumped the shark.
