Med Staff Drops Keeper Being Stretchered Off The Field

Title says it all, really. Zack Thornton of Chivas USA was taken off the pitch in a game against Toronto FC this week, only the medical staff didn’t bring enough strapping young beefcakes and dropped him on the sidelines. And let’s just say the Toronto fans could’ve had a more subdued reaction as he limped off the field, aching and presumably pissed off. (Not that it isn’t funny – just in a silent chuckle to yourself kinda way.)

How the hell? This is a professional sport, those people who stretchered Thornton really need to hit the gym, or leave it to people who won't make a dogs dinner of it.

It's okay. Zach probably ate the stretcher carriers as revenge.

I watched this on TV but didn't see/know that once on the sidelines they dropped him.

It looked absolutely ridiculous from the start, as 2 or 3 of the carriers were female, and it was clear they were straining under Zach's avoirdupois.

What is Thornton, 270 lbs?
