I care more about the supporters shield race than the race for 8th. Of course I'm a DC fan and I like the Concacaf Champions Cup. And the race for 8th interests me because we get to see if we get cannon fodder or Chicago for the first round.

Leaving the first choice strikers was an ok choice for Chivas because Galindo was out on accumulation and Razov had a slight injury which the coach didn't want to play on the crappiest crap turf ever. In the rain.

"If it’s so easy to make the playoffs, then how much does your team suck when they don’t make it? A lot, that’s how much."

Thanks Bob. That helps. ;)

I think Laurie pointed out the great irony here is, with the exception of Chris Klein, the Beckhamless factor is winning games with players who were on the roster before the "Great Purge of 2007." Although, I didn't check to see who played in this last Houston game.

Also, Chivas left their first choice strikers in Cali yet still won their game (for Gallindo, it was a forced rest anyways). That just tells me they both care about the Supporters Shield AND winning the MLS Cup. In it to win it. Slow and steady, etc etc etc. Love that team.

Oh and thanks for spelling out this convoluted playoffs structure for me. What a mathematical mess.
